About
Meet The Crew
I am Keith Panaro, first a child of God, a retired federal employee with a total of 35-years of service, a Veterinary Technician for over 22-years Licensed in two states, a Veteran of the Army Veterinary Corps Retired Staff Sergeant (21-years), I am a Warrior and a Crafter.
As of the beginning of 2024, only by the grace of God, I was able to decide to completely retire and pursue my passion of being a Crafter.
My 35-years of service is comprised of 21-years’ service in the Army followed by 14-years’ service with the Portland Oregon Veterans Affairs.
My Passion
In 2002, while in the Army and during my deployment to Camp Doha Kuwait, I was able to use the base woodshop during my off time to make wood projects and this was the real start of my passion for woodworking. Once I retired from Army service, no longer moving every few years, I was able to start acquiring proper woodworking tools and setup my shop in Newberg Oregon. In 2023, I started a serious endeavor to start the groundwork to create Warrior Crafter as my “Retirement” business, you know, to keep me off the streets at night. WarriorCrafter.com was established in November 2024 and the motto is “Old Soldier Made – Old Soldier Approved.”Origin of the Warrior Crafter name is from the fact that I am a Warrior, a Warrior for God, country, and family. I am also a Crafter, a crafter of wood, metal, stone and who knows what is next. An important factor of the name is it is not a “static” reference. Being a Warrior is an ongoing thing. Just is the term Crafter, is a statement of being ongoing. I first started with the name “Warrior Crafted” but that is a name that makes the statement of completion. This endeavor will be an ongoing undertaking, what it is today, is not what it will be in the future.
The Process
Warrior Crafter is a one-man operation. I do not keep stock on hand for immediate sale, at least not yet. Quotes are provided upon request, with customer collaboration, made to order production begins and the custom wood crafted product is ship when the product is completed. As the business grows, sales volume increases, and product interest increases, immediate sale stock will likely become available and posted on the website.
Quotes
Quotes are requested through the link in the “Quote” page, directly by email to WarriorCrafter@MyYahoo.com, or by calling. If you call, I ask that you leave a message, and I will return your call. Veteran Discount, Bulk Discount and Wholesale Discount are available.
My Belief
I believe that it is ONLY because of the Grace of God and my belief that Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior, along with the loving support of my wife Jody, that I am now able to be retired from work to follow the passion of creating crafts that bring joy to others. My belief in Christ as my savior gives me that ability to remain positively focused and have a joyful outlook.
No piece of wood is "perfect." Some look perfect on the surface, but each one has flaws, defects, or blemishes. Some of these defects are visible on the surface, but many are hidden deep within the wood. Some defects can be removed by cutting them away or sanding them out. This seems to be a harsh or destructive process but necessary to remove the defect. However, in many cases, as a Crafter, I may intentionally leave the defects or blemishes in place because I can see that the defect or blemish is in just the right place to make the final product unique, interesting and beautiful once the work is completed.
We are all just like a block of wood that God is using to create a craft. We all have flaws and defects. Some are visible but most are hidden deep within us, and God knows about each one.
God may remove a defect or blemish from us by allowing us to experience hard or difficult times, which may seem to be a harsh or uncomfortable period of our life. If He chooses to not completely remove our defects, or blemishes, we must keep in mind that God sees in us what our finished self will be, and He knows that we have a hidden potential that is not yet obvious. I know that God knows me and my potential, and I believe that He works in me to help me become unique, interesting and beautiful once His work is completed.
If you have not decided to follow Jesus, I urge you to ask God for help by saying this prayer:
Dear God in heaven, in the name of Jesus, I acknowledge that I have sinned against You, and I am sorry for my sins and the life that I have lived; I need Your forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ is your only begotten Son who shed His precious blood on Calvary’s cross and died for my sins. With Your help, I want to turn away from my sin. You said that all who “declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” NIV Rom 10:9 I confess Jesus as my Lord. With my heart, I believe that God raised Jesus from the dead. I accept Jesus Christ as my own personal Savior and according to His Word, I know I am now saved. Amen.
